18. RIP-R-STRIPPER comes with an external front mounted weight to apply
downward force of the accessory blade. Depending on the material removed,
additional weight may be required and secured with a longer trolley

NOTE: DO NOT exceed the maximum number of weight blocks to avoid
permanent structural damage to the RIP-R-STRIPPER. NOTE: DO NOT use the RIP-R-STRIPPER without all weight blocks properly
fixed to the main frame to prevent the weight from falling or the machine from losing
control, especially when used on floors/above ground work surfaces. NOTE: Properly dispose of all accumulated flooring materials as per
international and local environmental regulations. He is
strongly recommended that all exposed internal/external surfaces are properly
cleaned after each use plus, adjust wheel scraper clearance to minimize
accumulation on the wheels. 9 CARE INSTRUCTIONS
For routine maintenance, the following information should be followed at
minimum once a week or 40 hours of use for maximum performance and
return on investment unless otherwise stated. Inspect all fasteners, individual parts, operator controls and
safety devices for proper operation. Remove all loose material buildup, dirt and grease from
internal/external surfaces, circuit breaker body and cooling vents to prevent
safety risks, poor performance and reduced lifespan. NOTE: The electric motor is fully enclosed and fan cooled (TEFC). NOTE: Properly dispose of all accumulated flooring materials as per
international and local environmental regulations. DO NOT use thinner, benzene or
other volatile solvents that will attack rubber/plastic components when cleaned
RIP-R-STRIPPER. Inspect the RIP-R-STRIPPER ON/OFF and the red electric motor reset switch
for proper operation. Check that the operator handle grips are free of moisture, pitch, oil or grease and
are not cracked, damaged or worn. 10 TROUBLESHOOTING

Service/repairs not described in this user manual must be performed by a
dedicated service center following a specific service/repair manual.

OWATONNA, Minn. - General Equipment Company introduces the FCS16 Rip-R-Stripper(TM), an electric floor scraper. Ideal for removing materials such as carpet, ceramic tile, linoleum and sealants, the Rip-R-Stripper offers high productivity, an ergonomic design and multiple removal accessories. For added safety and productivity, the Back-Saver(TM) blade control system allows infinite adjustment of the blade angle during use. Options include 6-inch, 10-inch, and 16-inch straight blades (beveled edges) for removing carpet, linoleum, and ceramic tile; 6 and 10 inch angled blades (beveled edges) for removing putty; 8-inch and 12-inch straight blades (bevel edge up) for removing materials from concrete surfaces; 8-inch and 12-inch straight blades (bevel edge down) for removing material from wood surfaces; and a ripper tooth attachment for removing ceramic tile and hardwood floors.

GENERAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY warrants each new and unused light construction equipment product and/or accessory sold by it: A) to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use/service for a period of two (2) years from the date of purchase: B) to warrant labor charges associated with defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of 'purchase. Obligation under this warranty is limited to then current fixed labor rates and replacement and/or repair at its factory site in Owatonna, Minnesota, or at an authorized dealer designated by it. , of the part(s) which will appear upon inspection to have been defective in material or workmanship at the time of sale, provided that the part(s) declared defective are returned to the point of inspection, transportation charges prepaid. a) High impact/wear related components including but not limited to: V-belts, flails, flail rods and flail drums. 3) Engines, motors, controls, and other accessories sold with, attached to, or used with a light construction equipment product sold by GENERAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY and warranted separately by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) under its program respective warranty.
